Hey guys I am in the making of changing my set up and i need some help working out the bumps and gaps.
this is the set up im working on

BC 272 cams
Cometic HG
Arp head studs
300m coils
holset HX35 BEP housing
FP exhaust mani
SMIM
vrsf Fmic
PTE 880 cc inj
Tial bov
3" Gm mafs
ecm link

I heard there are limitations using the gm mafs , Does any one know what they might be?
Also I have a 6bolt bottom end 7bolt head combo what head studs do i use?
What timing belt kit do i use? front cover? I have used the search button but didnt come up with a definite answer.

BC 272 cams....maybe look into different ones, or regrinds from delta
Cometic HG
Arp head studs....use the 6bolt ones and bore the 7 bolt head for them to fit
300m coils
holset HX35 BEP housing...are you saying holset hx35 with bep housing?
FP exhaust mani...good choice
SMIM...maybe look into evo 3 or something and save
vrsf Fmic.....punishment ftw
PTE 880 cc inj
Tial bov...ngr or something cheaper would work, again use money elsewhere
3" Gm mafs...stock maf can make good power 500hp or so
ecm link

I can't remember if ARP makes 2 sets of head studs, one for 6-bolt and one for 7-bolt. If they do and you use the 6 bolt studs, you'll need to bore out the head bolt holes in your 7-bolt head because the 6-bolt head bolts are larger in diameter. When you get the ARP studs delivered, push them through the head just to make sure they fit. Good luck.

Yess Just got my hx35 on ebay today for 165 should be here next week just got to het the bep housing . thanks for the help so is that a no to the bc 272s im doing a budget build for now so im not trying to spend like 800 on cams at the moment.
and i guess ill stay with the stock maf and my greddy type rs. also im going to be doing a timing belt in a week or so , so i guess i get the 6bolt kit since i have the 6 bolt bottom? and i need a new front cover so 6 bolt right?

i know dsmgraveyard has cams (regrinds from delta i believe) for around $275 for a pair. i bought some 3 months ago

Your setup is not bad. You will need to account for where you are trying to take the car. I use to use cometic gaskets. i have found that Mitsubishi mls is better, and felpro mls in my opinion is better than both.

you may want to look into arp L19 or A1 technology head studs.. They are better than the regular arps.

As for the 6bolt block. You will have to use the bolt studs. They are 12mm. the 7bolts are 11mm.

If you are building a 2.0 setup, there are a number of timing belts that you are able to use. you will have to just make a choice.

I hope that helps.

Thanks for you insight ! But i guess i need to reword the question about the timing belt and front cover, I am going to order the timing belt kit that comes with choice of belt, tension, idler etc from extreme psi. Extreme psi says they are different 6bolt and 7 bolt as well as the front cover are they really different or the same?
And in what aspect are the mitsu mls and felpro mls better? by the way im aiming for a mid 11 sec daily
