i need help.. this car isint making any sense to me. im running on just 1 and 4. ive replaced both coils, PTU, ptu plug, put in a 1g cas, wires, plugs, swapped out ecu, checked wire harness for cut wires as far as i could. what else could it be. it just dont make any sense. Ive tried to get this fixed on 3 other threads but has never got me fixed here. it used to kinda idle and just barely stay running, but now after messing with the harness and taking the engine fuse out and putting it back in. it wont stay on now. its starts then dies. can anyone help me here? i cant figure it out.

Sounds like your chasing your tail on this one, have you checked and doubled checked your 1g CAS wiring and ensured its not 180* out?

it looks like my wiring is good. it may need soldering, but its all going to the right place.. what does 180* look like.. it think im good on that.. but could u post a pic that displays what 180 out looks like and ill check mine.

yep.. im prity shure that's what mine looks like.. but.. ill check it first chance i get. if im not 180 out.. what else could it be though?

Odds are its a bad signal going to the ECU because you used butt connectors to wire up the 1g CAS instead of soldering it, you should really test for continuity and if its good check for voltages.

Check for continuity first using a multimeter, testing from ECU wiring harness to the connector at the 1g CAS.
ECU pin 88 (BLU/RED) to 1g CAS pin 1 (WHT)
ECU pin 89 (BLU/WHT) to 1g CAS pin 2 (BLK)
ECU pin 12 & 25 (RED) to 1g CAS pin 3 (RED)
ECU pin 13 & 26 (BLK) to 1g CAS pin 4 (BLK)

If you have continuity check for voltage at the 1g CAS connector after plugging in the ECU and turning the key to the ON position.
CAS pin 3 (RED) should show 12v going to it

If theres 12v on pin 3 plug the CAS connector back in and stab the multimeter lead through the wire insulation on the WHT wire coming from pin 1 or the BLK wire coming from pin 2 on the CAS connector. Once you've stabbed through the insulation spin the CAS by hand and look for an oscillating 5v as you turn it. If it checks good on one of the wires stab through the insulation on the other and check it for an oscillating 5v also.

o man.. im so bad with electrical stuff. im confused but i think i can manage. ill see what i can do today after work.. i should be getin done with testing the wires today about 6pm central time. so ill update you then. thanks for the help.

ill go ahead and solder it today to. my buds got a gun.

any chance you got the vss and crank plug backwards?
The VSS plug is a (3) prong rectangle and the CPS plug is a (3) prong traingle, if you confuse these two and somehow get them plugged in you've got bigger problems. Besides that he's running a 1g CAS so the original CPS/CAS plugs aren't even being used, just the wires off of them...
