Need Help! Dont Know Whats Wrong With My 98 Gsx!

I have a 98 GSX and since yesterday it's been running awkward. While driving I noticed that the clutch feels higher and I dont know why but in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th gear, everytime I step on the gas it starts revving like its in neutral once it reaches the 3000 rpm point. So basically it doesnt accelerate after that point. I talked to a friend and he told me it might be the clutch. If anybody else has an opinion or knows whats wrong please let me know! Also, if I do have to get a new clutch, any recommendations?

Definitely your clutch is dead. I would quit driving it soon as your clutch will not engage the flywheel very soon, leaving you stranded. Do you have mods? If not then just get a stock one from Autozone.

No I dont have any mods other then an air filter and a bov, how much would a stock clutch cost? I was thinking since I'm going to have to get a new clutch anyways, is it a good idea to upgrade the clutch to something that performs better?

Only if you plan on putting down some more power or have money that you want to get rid of. A new stock clutch from Autozone is not expensive.

just get one from xtd (ebay) very reliable i have one on my 95 gsx

You may have "2G pedal pump up".
I would try adjusting the clutch rod before buying a new clutch.
