Ok guys. This is the set up of my HKS ssqv. I have had it on there a week no problems what so ever. On the way home from college when merging on to a Big highway I had my music blasting and noticed no boost... Well very little. When the boost should kick in. I feel it a little. But then i hear just a ssssssssssss like high wind passing my car. Then when i shift i hear the BOV very little. I thought it was the waste gate but i can move that with my hand. I guess i am leaking boost. Here are some pics. Also where is a good place in Central Jersey or by Atlantic city for me to take my car... Or should i just go to the dealership....

well you shouldnt be able to move the wastegate with your hand, so it might be busted....or you have a big boost leak somewhere.

The only way i can get the armature of the wastegate to move is if i really use leverage of my hand and push on it. Should i not be able to move it at all. I was thinking maybe the BOV go stuck open or seomthing. I am thinking about just putting the stock one back.... For now any way.

Yea i guess i give up. I put the other BOV back on and it helped a little. But it still does it. I figure i will just take it to mitsubishi and have them fix it..

Please do a boost test.. with what you described it's definately a busted /split pipe. If you hear any hissing while you're driving it's the air going through a leak!

If you replaced your BOV, then it's definately not your new one, just hook the leak tester up and I'm sure you'll find it!

ya, you havto be willing to get your hands dirty with these cars. you cant have the "its too hard to figure out so ill just give up and have someone else do it " mentality. theres enough online resources for you to educate yourself and figure it out:thumb:

those hks valves should not leak at all. do a boost leak test and while your at it check the shaft play on your turbo your turbo might be shot also. and also, don't pay $75 an hour for what you can do for free at home.
