HELP! need expert advice engine swap!!

ok so i let my timing belt snap and well engine is ####ed need my car back fast i need to know if the motor mounts are the same in a 97 eclipse as my 93 talon got a good deal on one and need my car back fast for work any help appreciated

if the 97 is also a turbo model the mounts will be the same however it would use a different ecu. if the 97 comes full with everything you can just swap it all over

thats a 2g the cam sensor is dif the block is the same i would just swap the head an drop it in as long as they are both 7 boltsthen you should be fine

Ok your doing what I just had to do a 1g conversion kit. U need all the 2g mounths an u need to modify the 2g front mounth infront of the cam gears to fit the 1g engine. The othere will work no problem. 2nd thing you need to call Magus or RRE an get there 1g to 2g CAS wire harness that cost 80 bucks. U can do it without it by splicing wires an all but theres as a plug an go. I dont know about the ECU tho since the 97 has the inverted cas which I think is like the 1g one. i went an got an Eprom ECU an did DSMlink so there wouldnt be any messups on it. So if your planning on spending under 2k on the car engine call Polk they will rebuild your 2g block for that much an then u dont have to worry if its going to run right or fry your ECU if you hook it up wrong. Like what happened to a friend of my cousin. he installed a 1g in his 96 an fried the ECU by doing the cas wiring wrong...
