Need a list of most common problems w/dsms

ok so i researched this and didnt find anything too helpful... im going to go look at my first DSM a 95 talon tsi. i am trying to find out the most common issues mechanically AND cosmetically with these vehicles through normal wear and also feedback from those of you who bought a really beat on car. Its located in new hampshire so my first issue is rust. What areas normally rust out first, and what areas should i worry about there being rust? i know this particular tsi has a "cracked" turbo from the owner and needs that replaced w/ o2 sensors and also the srs light is on. should i be concerned about either or are they relatively easy fixes? thanks for the info guys, hopefully ill be joining the ranks soon with some good news here!

thanks i appreciate the feedback... im still kind of wary to get it due to the whole crankwalk issue. ill have to check it out and try to figure out how much itll cost me to replace the turbo and the little odds and ends. Ill keep you updated

One good thing about it is since it's a '95 it should have an EPROM ECU in it. They are very handy when it comes to tuning your car once you start modding it.
