Well the title pretty much says it all. I'm curious what is the most HP you can get out of a N/T? Just kicking around the idea is all. I mean I know I can get more HP alot easier if i turbocharge my car but part of me wants to make it a beast without turbo.

There's a lot of potential. Do the normal N/A upgrades. cold-air intake, better ignition, all the good bolt-ons. I feel like to make a strong N/A, you need a good amount of internal work done.

ugh. well i may as well just go with a turbo build then.

I will tell you like most people will. just turbo it and call it a day. if you have the means do an awd swap. not to discourage you but it is just more logical this way.

Even with an NT 4g63, it would take very serious mods just to get close to 200hp. High compression pistons, balanced rotating assembly, extensive head work, tuning system, etc. And in the end you would still be slower than a turbo DSM with mild bolt-on's.

So don't even waste your time with intake, exhaust, ignition, and whatnot. Gather turbo parts and do research in the meantime.

Turbo manual transmission camshafts.

If you want to get a little crazy you can find Galant AMG pistons to put in the engine. They have a 10.4:1 compression ratio.

And of course headers and an intake.

I used to be really into N/T DSMs, they can be quick.

It would be possible to get 200 HP at the fly wheel......... The N/T AMG galant engine made 167.

Milling the head, high CR pistons, lightweight rotating assembly, very well balanced, very good tuning, high rev cams, well designed IM & EM, good flowing exhaust, stroker crank, No2, ignition, CAI and more.

why would it take extensive head work? the 1g N/T heads are the same as turbo heads. Wiseman told me this when I wanted to put a 1g 7bolt n/t head on my car, only problem was water pipe, thermostat housing and CAS.

EDIT: just wanted to make it clear dont use the camshafts.
