also your in the san diego area and sounds like your a marine, camp pendleton i would guess right. im in the area you've probably seen me running around in my ride!

I also just ordered the new Slowboyracing exhaust manifold + porting. It seems like it will be awhile before it comes in but, I can't wait to see what it looks like and how much more it will change my performance.
i doubt you will notice any performance gain with your little t25 turbo.

but if you really wanna fix that IAC motor, take it out and clean it with gumout... i did that and was perfect, yet a similar problem happened later making me think it was that, the intake gasket had cracked alot and let it idle 2000rpm, it smelled so bad, all the fumes. if you still get a gas smell you should check it, its easy just pour a little bit of water around the top of the gasket, if you hear it suck it in and the idle change then you gotta leak... it will also pull one of the same codes as idle system P0505. but i think its the motor, happens alot, just clean it... peace

Yeah, I am a Marine but, I am stationed down in marimar and I dyno aircraft engines all day. But, I got 8 months left before I get out.

I have seen alot of dsm's in O side and there are also alot here on miramar but, most of them are N/t's and they all see gsx on my car and try to rev up on me all the time. Its kinda funny...

So, its either the motor or the gasket? Well, my car will be down for a little bit, so I am sure I'll have time to play with this. Thanks :thumb:

Isn't the recommended gap .030 for up to 16psi, then .028 for anything above that?
Its safe to run .028 or .026 just because your spark plugs will, after a while because of all the heat and stress, increase their gap slightly. I had plugs that i gapped to .028 and when checked them again 6 months later, they were at .035 or something crazy like that. Having a smaller gap will prevent some of the hesitation people complain about when the turbo just starts to spool up and blows the spark out. Gap is the first thing you should check when your car hesitates during wot runs and runs normal under normal driving.

Interesting to know. I've never had my gap changed by itself. Maybe I should try lowering the gap on mine, they are 7's at .030, came out of the box like that.

I agree with this. I'm going to have to check mine out, because I think this is a problem that I'm having. I was at the 1/8 mile track the other night and I kept getting real bad hesitation at the top of third. I run a FP ported B28, HKS cams, and a Zex wet 75 shot with supporting mods, and I only trapped at about 88 mph. I should actually be trapping in the 90 mph plus range. I did have very very bad wheel spin all the way through 3rd gear even with a lsd, which probably played a role in my low mph as well, but I did feel a great bit of hesitation at the top of third right about the time that I was finally getting traction, but by then I had already crossed the 1/8 mile line, and it was to late. I feel if I could get this hesitation problem solved which is bad, and reduce some of my wheel spinning, I could get my trap speeds up in the 90 mph plus range where I should be.

Check to see if you are running overly rich. It could be causing that problem as well.

Cool.. thanks for the advice. Come to think of it I did bump up my fuel pressure from a base of 43 to 48psi. I will check that as well. I checked my plugs with my feeler gauge yesterday after I posted, and they were all around .032, up from .028 so there was definitely some over gappage there. :)
