name this part, door stop hinge thing.

the hinge piece that goes inside the door between the two main hinges that stops the door at certain points of opening, damn thing is broke where it is pinned to the body and keeps popping every time I open the door. I cant find the pn or name of it for that matter to order it. I could call dealership and say the door stop hinge thingy but then I might get who knows what. WTF

the name of the part your looking for is called a striker

I'm not sure but I don't think that he is referring to the striker. The striker is the piece that the door latches onto when it is closed. I think he is referring to the side where the door connects to the car. The piece he is referring to is also worn out on my car and if I'm parked on a slight hill, my door will not stay open once pushed out. 2gdsm_nc, is that the part you are referring to?

yep hinge side greyish piece with what looks like an i beam where i want to say a ball rides in and stops your door at 1\2 open then all the way open. it connects by a pin going threw it vertically.
