N/T MAF worth keeping for Turbo car?

Was a little confused reading previous threads and would like to know if my N/T maf is worth saving for my turbo car? Both are 1g's.

As I've read it, the NT MAF may be retained for a NT > turbo conversion. It will not plug-in to a turbo harness. The plugs are different. The turbo MAF has another wire, to send the ecu a signal for the stock boost guage. That is the only difference, but it will work in a bunch of galants and other Mitsus.

I have a MAF on my N/T part-out car so saving it for my turbo car is a good idea and WILL plug into turbo car -OR- do I need to save the N/T plug too + splice that into turbo car if I wanted to use it?? I'll be getting a real boost gauge so don't care about stock gauge not working with N/T maf.

The Turbo MAF has an extra wire but it's from the ECU to the MAF to reset the Karmen sensor counter at various times when it's possible that the air flow might be disrupted. I believe the ECU does it between shifts for example.

Just buy a 1g turbo maf and ditch the n/t one. They're cheap, like dirt cheap, so won't be hurting your wallet.

I don't need one right now and just trying to figure out if I should save N/T maf as a spare for my tsi..
