I have a ‘91 gs with a stock fuel system except for a Walbro 255lph and a SX/Buschur AFPR. I also have a K&N filter in a hacked air can with a hard intake pipe and headers into a full 2 1/2" exhaust. My question is if I buy an Apexi S-AFC II could I use the turbo injectors (450). I just trying to get a little more power to hold me over a few more months until I do another turbo engine swap. I don't know too much about fuel systems and I not sure if this would even help. Any help would be appreciated. P.S. what if I just got the Apexi S-AFC II with my current system and no 450's. Would that give it any more power? I think that it needs something because if used to be faster. My best 1/4 mile time is 16.1 and that was before I added aluminum flywheel, short shifter, fuel pump, AFPR, ACT 2100, Magncores, headers, and high flow cat. Now with all of that my best time is 16.3. I look forward to any suggestions. Thanks

You think that you could possibly be running too rich or anything? I mean, do you even have a mechanical or even any sort of air fuel ratio gauge? You're fuel system might be lean, but at the same time you might be too rich... you really have to watch your tuning, otherwise you flood the engine with fuel and its just as bad as running lean... more gas doesn't equal more power.

I do not have an A/F gauge. I do feel that the a/f ratio is off even though I have the fuel pressure set at the factory settings and stock injectors so it shouldn't be. Do you think that I need the S-AFC II even just with my current set up?

I have an A/F gauge... I believe you're not rich... or lean... just poorly tuned... take it somewhere to a person who can better tune your engine... as you make our N/T's breath better with less backpressure, we loose a bit of our low end. Proper tuning can usually even this out a bit. Just find someone who can tune your ECU... or have jet chips do it.

If you want to use 450 injectors, you will need to install an injector resistor pack.

Secondly, you can't get any more power with more fuel. You get more power with more air, then you match the increase in air with a proper amount of fuel.

Thats cool i've got a resistor pack lying around but the 450's was just a thought if they would give me more power with my current setup. The main question was will the Apexi S-AFC II allow me to get more power with what i have now? Will it maxamize my potential and restore the power that I lost somewhere adding new mods? If it will help and allow my car to run faster even with the factory injectors than I need to order one fast before they are all gone. I only know of two places that still even sell them, everyone else is out of stock 'cause of NEO. So what do you think, will my car benefit from the s-afc II?

If you know how to tune, yes. You can lean the motor out a tiny bit but I'd be buying a wideband O2 sensor first.
