N/T belts on turbo - what's the damage?

The previous owner of a TSi took some belts off of a GS and put them on it and messed up a bunch of stuff. The guy that owns the car now said that he had to replace the head, clutch, and tranny. I'm thinking about buying the car, but I haven't got to drive it yet cause the tranny isn't in yet. It sounds like the guy has got everything repaired that the other guy broke. But when I do get to drive it and check it out, what else should I look for that might be screwed up?

Ok, easier question: should I buy a car that this has been done to for $2,600?

new tires, new stage 3 clutch, new head, new tranny, rebuilt radiator
