yep I've done it before. Looking for ralli-art parts.

I don't know if those fenders will curve to a DSM body line since it says on that page they only are for Silvias.

Drifting Talon: Do not make any more off-topic posts in this thread.

yea i understand, but what i'm thinkin is that if you look at the basic body lines of the silvia i think it will.

the front fender is fairly flat until it starts to curve at the very top of the fender which is just past the top of the flare. the rear quarterpanel is also completely flat just like that of a dsm.

and even if they aren't the perfect matches they're the closest i've seen yet.

the biggest problem i see is getting some wheels to fit inside them well. what do you think of spacers for the time being?? i'd only need about 20mm-25mm since mine are right at the edge right now and these ad 30mm.

You think the stock offset will look crappy underneath the wider fenders?

i think so, a small spacer would make a big difference. of course it depends on the size of tires you run right now. stock offset on 8 inch wide rims with 235 tires might not

but my 205's on 7" ers are right at the edge , so a 235 on 8's would look fairly good i think.

Ya I have 235's on my 17's

mavisky,

I like your ideas. I've been working with fiberglass for about three years now. So far only in car stereo applications (kick pannels, centercouncels, headliners, etc.). The first few projects I attempted were frustrating and difficult. Then I bought these two videos and things just came a lot easier to me. I'd recomend these videos to anyone with intentions of doing fiberglass work. They're much less expensive then video sold specifically for car applications (like the videos from selectproducts.com) and the teach you the basics of what products you need and how to use them.

thanks for helpin with the tacos :D

laserjay- thanks man, i figured it'd be tough at first that's why i'm not expecting a finished product for awhile.

these is one of the best links i've found so far. inside are links to making molds as well

Hey this is great those lights look great, let me know when the first one goes on sale I want them. Wish I had the time I would make some. Thanks

since you seem to be willing to fabricate parts yourself, you should try making some projectors using your stock headlights. by some nice foglights that would fit and be bright enough to use for headlights (get one set for low beams and one set for high beams) and gut out your stock housings and mount them in there cleanly, or fiberglass them in there (be sure to make it adjustable so you don't have headlights that point in weird directions :) ). with a little work and some creativity you could definately have some very good looking projectors that no one elso has.

ps- don't forget to leave the angel eyes OUT :thumb:

i know this is old but im bringing it back...LOL
anyways, buy universal fender flares and mold them on. they look awesome on 1gs. if i had a digi cam id get you a pic of mine with flares. i need wider wheels badly tho

Does anyone have the link for the red car with the fender flares, my boss is always up for a good project, so i might just try it, and i need some more pics, like the front bumper and what not, anyone that knows the link, please post, thanks :thumb:

venom performance chip???

this is beyond my wiseman abilities guys, i think i need to lie down.

hey l2r, wanna take care of this one for me??

Duno if anyone has steped in on this yet, but i will be happy to although im about ready to puke here...:|

OK first off the turbo's for our cars go by brand names and types NOT stage's.. staged crap does not tell you all the info where as normaly the name of our turbo's tells you whats in them (compressor and turbine wheels)

2nd Altezza's....IF and ONLY IF they are done VERY well i personaly like them....but most dont do a good job of the install and it looks like ass...

3rd NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THE STOCK UNITS! unless you just dont like the look of them, water geting in a 8+ yr old unit is nothing uncommon if you dont like haveing to polish them all the time and seeing them get foggy when it's wet out THEN FIX THE ####ING THINGS!

And about the chip... where the #### did you get that? Our car's ECU has no place for a "chip"...

And further more most "preformance" re-programed ECU's are shit.. stay away from them..

That is all. :thumb:
