Just got this all ready to install on my eclipse, just waiting for my manifold to come in. Fully thermal coated. No need for heat shield or header wrap. :dsm:

Sweet. Let us know how your underhood temps are with the turbin houseing coated. Also love the valve springs and old turbin wheel in the back round. Ands a nice flair. Did you get your exhaust manifold coated as well? Cause that is the one piece that would benifit most from the coating as far as performance adders goes.

The entire engine will be coated. Almost finished with the engine. I will post when I am finished with it. Here is a picture of a type R engine I just finished.

Nice LS/VTEC. :shhh:

Everything looks so NEW! Let us know how the coating holds up!

BTW, where did you get them coated at? :thumb:

The first picture is my turbo. for my eclipse gsx :dsm: . Garrett T3/T4

The second photo's are of a sleeved 2.0l LS stroked VTEC with a Turbonetics T60 that was fully coated.

Please note inlet sizes on the turbonetics and the garrett :thumb:

Not Jet Hot. The exhaust coating is TECH coatings. I coat everything from pistons to radiators. I have thermal barriers(exhaust) none ceramic. Thermal barrier(piston tops) ceramic. Thermal dispersants(intake manifolds) none ceramic. And dry film (sides of pistons) moly base coating for reduced friction. Read my old article in the Tech section here. My old name was coos.

I know it's not jethot, jethot completly coats the inside and out when they do a piece. So you do this on your own? Have you done any tests on your coatings?

here i coated half of a piston the uncoated side melted way before the coated side. The underside of the coated side melted before the coating on top did. I will be doing a test on the exhaust coating this month.

pretty sweet test their. Looks like your stuff does work. Have you even had a problem with it flaking off?? ie.. like on your piston faces? I'm thinking about using a thermal coating on my pistons for my street/strip DSM but it's still a daily driver and will see a lot of miles.. Most real racers at least tear their heads off after every few races or at least every season (if things go really well on a budget) to see if anything is going on and check clearances. I would worry about it flacking off and scoring the piston and cylender wall.
