So...I just got this GSX... and I'll be getting everything in today to start putting the engine back together since I tore it down to replace rings and whatnot.

Anyway... I noticed that I had two issue.

Short history : Car smacked a deer doing 30. Broke the front bumper, curled the hood slightly.

Well... Everything looks good on the car.... but I have 2 questions on it.

NOTE : I swapped over the Hood, Headlights, and front bumper from a TSI Doner Car. 91. The GSX is a 90'

1 : I moved the hood of my 91' Talon to this 90' GSX.... and it's a little off center. The hood sticks over the front bumper about an inch... I also swapped over the front bumper as well. Might it just be out of line? The hood doesn't latch all the way. It also lightly laps over the passenger headlight about a quarter inch.

2 : The passenger rear tire looks like it's slanted in at the top. So from the rear it looks like this |-----\

=/ Bad suspension? Or just the tire on wrong? If so.. can I swap suspension from the TSI?

o.o But would a 30MPH impact really do that amount of damage?...

>_> The damage didn't look that bad... like.. at all. The hood was a tid bit curled and the lip of the bumper was broken.. o.o The front frame isn't bent up at all. Looks pretty much perfect..I mean.. if he hit a deer and it caused damage.. wouldn't it have f'ed up the front instead of messing up the rear end?

True! However it's kind of hard sittin at work when it's in my driveway. ;P

I'll try to get some up this evening.

That depends on how far across the field he had to go to hit the deer!
The rear suspension could have been out of alignment before that.

Lmfao.

This is Arkansas..people keep Deer as pets...

He said he was going around a curve, it ran out infront of him, so he downshifted, hit the breaks, and he hit the deer. The nose kicked the deer of it's feet and rolled it onto the hood where it then died of a heart-attack and the pure awesome of being hit by a DSM.

I'm getting to the point, so far, as to where Me and a friend are going to just... lift the blocks and swap them out. The cars are nose to nose with a 4FT gap between each front end.. WTF!! And the blocks are down to the cranks...So what... 80ish LBS? Pffft. Simple.

What danger is there with a chassis being bent? .... I can't find any evidence of it being bent.. but yeah...it seemed to drive fine in 1st..;P
