My next mod from a junkyard??

OK..I found yesterday a complete mint 92 Laser RS AWD.
I took the EPROM ecu, and now I'm trying to figure it out and swap it in my 90 GSX.
The Laser had also a sweet home welded 3,5Inch OD exhaust system with a cat delete, and a sweet HKS muffler. The only problem with it was that when a dummy took the turbo off- hammered the down pipe flange at the o2 housing ,and now the flange is a little bent.
Is that a easy fix?? IS it worth $100 on the whole thing?? I need a whole new exhaust anyway so I think I'm going to go and pick it up tomorrow. It looks very proff made.
Would it bolt right on my 90 GSX?? I'm assuming yes, but I wanna double chk before I buy it.

Yes the exhuast will bolt right up for the ecu here you go. http://www.vfaq.com/index-main.html I would buy if even if you had to buy a flage or a downpipe its worth it.

Heck ya that sounds like a good deal and i dont see why it wouldnt bolt up. im not sure which flange you are saying is bent though. but if it was bent one way it cna go back the other

How to install a 91+ ecu in a 90 DSM

Get a good gasket for that downpipe flange. It'll probably straighten out when you bolt it to your car.

I talked that guy down on the phone...$80 for the exhaust.
The Laser had GREEN top injectors?? look almost like the 450cc Blue but not really.
I'm asuming that they are bigger?? Should I pick them up for $8 each?? $26 soemthign with tax..I think it's a good deal also. right??
HOw hard is to unbolt the rear end+axels?? It's a 4 bolt rear , and my 3 bolt one on the GSX is rusty and nasty Is it a lot of work to swap them??

PS..I dont' have a garage or anything..just tools...and I gotta do all my work in the local Court House parking lot or my kitchen Would I be able to put back togheter the rear end in 1 day or so?

Could be blue top and have color faded to green. If you pull them, you should send them out to get cleaned/flow tested to see what size they really are, but I doubt they'll be anything larger than stock.

If you've never touched the rear end on your car before, I doubt you'll be able to swap it out in a day. Like any project, it may look simple, but unexpected problems can always pop up and leave you without a car for more than a day, especially if you have to deal with rusted nuts, bolts that break off in your socket, etc. Pick up the rear end, but try to find somewhere other than the courthouse parking lot to swap it out. We'd hate to see your car get towed because the cops think it's an abandoned junker with no rear end.

OK, i got the rear end today off that Laser in 4h or so.
I'm not going to touch that untill we move in our new home, and finally i get to have a garage.
I took the exhaust also, and tomorrow I want to bolt it on.
The down pipe has a A'PEXI tag on it , then the cat is missing , then the muffler has a HKS tag on it...pretty weired. It's welded so I can't put a cat unless I cut/weld again, so I'm not going to worry abt it and bolt it on for now.
I got the exhaust for $25 , so I can't beat that price anyway.
I found on 1 injector a 550 mark..something written on it, but I'm sending them out to be cleaned tomorrow.
I JUST love the hatch on the Laser!!! Would it bolt right on?? This one is rust free and the tail lights have NO scratch or nothing on them.

The only green injectors I've ever seen were on 1.8's and SOHC Galants. Probably not worth picking up.

...I don't know for sure what was wrong with that Laser, but it is in better shape then my GSX
On the fender it said bad tranny/good engine.
I was lucky enough to get acces to it 1st ..before I started to pull parts off -it was a complete car with nothing missing on it. It even had a newer paint job no dents that I could see. I wish I could buy the whole thing!
The exhaust is ON, WHAT A difference, awesome sound too!!!
I droped the inj to a machine shop...they said most likely are 450cc painted green wtf? but that doesn't surprise me, the Laser interior was painted in 3 collors?? badddd

the machine shop could tell you what size your mitsu injectors were?

how would they know. i dont think they say 450cc on them, .

and you should be able to see if they are painted or not.
