I'm looking to get some input on my next mod. I have 3 in mind, Link and 1600's, new intake mani and t/b setup, or the new BR frontmount core. I am leaning tords link because I think it will give me the biggest benifit. I can only do one mod at a time because my wife hates my car because I spend too much time/money on it and I just had a kid. I need all three but can only get one, post up some opinions if you want.

Get Dsmlink... it is good to know what is going on inside the heart of your car. It is also comforting knwoing you can control it.

My vote goes for DSMLink as well. Are you talking about injectors when you say 1600's? If so, I'm sure they are overkill. Many have gone 10's on 1000cc injectors.

1600's are a good choice since you can control them with link. Might as well since you won't need to upgrade again...hopefully.

Go with the link. Its the most practical and if you go with the link first you'll be able to keep an eye on what brakes when you do get those 1600s j/k

Have you ever contemplated getting a jet engine? I heard that is all the rage in Japan...

Definately get DSMlink. Can't beat overpriced "tuning" software that's ages behind the free stuff you can get for Hondas. /sarcasm

If you're looking for management, take the step and get e-manage ultimate or the AEM EMS, you won't be disappointed. If you don't think you're ready to invest in those then you don't need anything more than an SAFC.

If you want to go a slightly less expensive route than dsmlink check out ecu+. I picked that up for my car and seems to be pretty awesome. http://www.ecuplus.com/

The forums don't seem to have nearly as much info, but from what I can tell so far it is really great. I am using that now along with a palm pilot instead of a laptop and it works great with that.

I have looked at the Emanage Ultimate and liked it, I already have a socketed ecu so that is why I was thinkig Link. Is the E/U a better unit for DSM's then Link. I would love AEM but I'm new to tuning, and trying to hide a purchase that size from the wife would be hard.:shhh:

Since you already have a socketed ecu I would say definitely go with dsmlink!! The main reason I went with ecu+ is because well it did look good, but I don't have an eprom ecu so that would be another big expense and time sending it off to be socketed also.

Yea I hear you on the AEM, that's a big step.

I tuned a turbo Civic with the regular blue E-manage a few months ago. I was very impressed. It's infinitely better than DSMjunk and is similar or cheaper. It's very user friendly and the adjustment resolution blows DSMjunk out of the water. Ultimate is just that much better, even easier to use, and has more features. If I cared to go any further than an SAFC it's definately what I'd be getting.

For everyone here jumping on the Link bandwagon, have you ever actually used another tuning program?
