they don't look ricey... if the vents were just indents they would... but the go all the way through... it looks tight... just cause it's stock doesn't mean it's rice

explain their function to me then please?

To the original poster : nice car man I like the color. What size wheels are those?

congrats on the new paint job..

its lookin good

i have to chime in my opinion though.. i dont like the rear bumper.. and the vents make it seem like overload with the already attracting side skirts..

that paint and 97-99 stock body.. :thumb: LOL but thats just me and my style.

good luck with your car and show us finished pics wen its completely done..

looks good man, but i agree, get new rims, white rim on that color car does not look good. invest in some GM or black w/ polished lip and youll be set :thumb:

looks good. and i love white rims, as long as they go with the car....... and yours works :thumb: just like stock back bumper better, but to each his own... i mean you can't please everybody. anyway, sweet looking car

Looks kinda like the VW "Reflex Blue" that they put on the New Beetles a few years ago. Car looks nice though - I dig the vents - I think they'd do wonders as functional brake coolers - although the rear brakes don't really need em that much.

I agree with the other guys about the rims - silver or polished lip with a darker color would prolly look better. But good job so far :thumb:

If done correctly, it will allow the brakes to cool more efficiently.

i want to see this car cleaned up and put together. I like the stock back bumper better and it would look nice with a turbo wing on it. But good job...I like the wheels as well.

The color is called "Steel blue pearl" it's from the 3rd gen eclipse.......and the vents do cool the rear brakes, i have pre-heater hose ran from the backside of the vent into the back of the dust shield.....im willing to trade the wheels w/ tires for stock 5 spokes or some painted and polished gsx wheels.....P.M. me

Who cares if they are functional? It's a body mod. For show appeal. I agree, it's cooler when they are cut out. Please tell me that you don't have white wheels on a silver car though?

if i spent hundreds of hours painstakingly molding vents on my rear quarter panels, i would damn sure make them do something. if they dont, whats the fukin point

Whats up fellow WA. dsmtuner,
anyway that looks really nice i like the vents. Is that a Ferrari color? Enjoy your new paint and take care, maybe see you at the next run, I'm about done with the sickest 1g anyone has ever seen...I hope. take it easy :thumb: ....Brandon, Performance Paintworks
