my new gauge pod

I would hope you wouldn't need to reference them often if at all. Usually you want gauges to be within an eye glance so you can still focus on the road and traffic.

That's going to be quite hard to look at while driving too. It looks nice though. Have you tried mounting it a bit higher or even better right on the dash above the 2 center vents? I'd hate having to take my eyes completely off the road just to glance at them.

I've always wondered if a gauge pod in that location would work, thank you for posting it up! I am not sure I like it as much as I thought I would but +1 for being unique!

I'm not a fan. It would be difficult to watch those gauges and keep your eyes on the road. It is an interesting idea though. And it looks well put together. Did you make it yourself?

I like the concept, the leather wrap is very nice. But like others said, it won't be very practical if you need to look at it while driving. Good job non the less.

Oh, and nice 1g!

i had this really cool idea to mount a small shift light and wondering if anyone has done this?? on the 2g vent there is the three buttons the last one is empty thinking about drilling a hole through it and putting a small shift light there ive searched on ebay and they have a small autometer shift light and a mini msd shift light but both require a rpm switch but ive seen other members buy a cheap adjustable shift light taking the light off and wiring in another light which is what i was thinking this is the perfect spot for this easy to notice and that isnt being used........anyone???

nice gauge pod btw LOL

I want your DSM's!!!!!!!!!!!

Very nice car. I think you will be OK with the gauges there. May not be the safest, but whatever floats your boat. I respect you sharing your cars with us. They are very nice and well taken care of. I can't believe you have a 1G that doesnt have the dash peeling yet. Very nice. Very clean. Good job.
