So the a-pillar pod my car had when I bought it, is one of the cheap ones that just gets attached to the stock pillar trim. My last DSM had the same crap and I hate them. I recently bought the full pillar trim pod, but it has no way to be mounted. There's no clips on the back or predrilled holes, or anything. Have any of you out there encountered the same issue, and if so, how did you solve the problem without damaging anything and keeping it all looking stock without screws everywhere? :dsm:

If you got one like mine it is made to cover then entire stock pillar with 2 or 3 screws and it came with 3 little covers to hide the screw heads.

Same here i have a full pillar mount with only 3 screws and they have caps so there kinda hard to see unless your really looking for them.

i would like to find a full one with clips and everything on the back if they even make one?

2 screws is all you need

2 screws in which area of the pod? I'd like to know for sure so I don't end up with more holes than I need.

Mine didn't come with screws or screw caps as some do… so I get to figure out where to make the holes. Also don't think mine fits over the stock trim, but also never concidered it so I'll check tomorrow to make sure. If it does, well mounting it will be simple.

One at the top of the pillar and towards the base will hold it

what gauge pod did you get that there are no predrilled holes?

if its a full replacement they should already be predrilled.

i always hated teh ones that attached to the stock pillar, looks cheap. do it right the first time. replace stock pillar and drill and attach 2 screws. most secure, cleanest way if you are sticking to the pillar.

Yes, it's a full pillar replacement… I too hate the partial ones, looks very tacky. Anyway, I guess it could fit over the stock one with very little issues, but I still don't like the look. So I'm drilling a couple holes and doing it that way.

BTW: zip ties…… epic win :p :hellyeah: :aha:

This (unfortunately) is the best pic I have. I highlighted the two screws that I used in red. I also used a bit of foam weatherstrip (not pictured) to close the gap where it meets the dash.

I believe I actually have this pic of yours saved in my DSM pic archive that I use for my computer's screen saver. So far I put one screw in mine which is the same as your top screw. I might add the second one, and the foam is a good idea… thanks.
