Ok so im going to install my guages here soon snd i had bought a cheap dual guage pod but i really dont want to mess with installing and painting it because its never gunna fit right. I was looking around a little more and saw the lotek pods come prepainted and they are full pillar but i couldnt figure out wether their pods completly replace that apillar or just go over top of it? Also if anyone has the dual guage pod from them please give your opinions thanks.

The only problem with aftermarket pillar replacement is attaching them. They use none of the stock attaching mechanisms. I attacked mine with Velcro pads above the gauge cluster with 1/4" weather stripping at the base, and went down to the local hardware store and picked up some screw covers that matched the color of the pod, and used 1 between the gauges as it has a tendency to sag at the gauges. You can barely notice it (and you probably wouldn't if I didn't point it out).

I believe, atleast on mine, the pillar pod came with pre-sunk starter holes and two screws provided. Also, two caps to cover the screws after you drill it in the actual a-pillar

Mine didn't come with squat for mounting hardware either, but it did come with one pre-drilled and countersunk hole at the end near the headliner. I bought a black screw at the hardware store and installed it there. The other end kind of wedges into the dash and is secure enough. All in all it fits pretty well, and I am happy with it. I wish there was a little more room behind the Autometer gauges in the pods, but they do fit.

My two-gauge pillar was inexpensive, arrived quickly, fitted perfectly, was a near exact colour match (grey) and has counter-sunk mounting points for the supplied screws and trim caps. I couldn't have been happier if they came and installed it for me.
