my new ecu shu everyhing down

Hi, I don't know what to do about this because this hasn't happened to me till now.

I installed my new 1.8 eprom ecu but, when I tried to start it, all the electricity shut-down. Now it won't start. Can anyone help me with this problem?????

Are you sure the prongs are not bent/dirty/off kilter that it's causing a loose connection? This same thing happened to me and I wasted the money and bought a second eprom ecu and it did the same thing. When I grabbed the harness and wiggled by the connectors the car would start. I just bent the prongs a slight bit so it was a tighter connection. I have not had any problems since then!

so to ge this right, you installed the new ECU turned the car and you hear a click, then nothing, no crank, the door lights dont work. ECT? If so, check your battery and the terminals for them. Mine did this when the NEG came a little loose.

If thats not the symptom then give a little more detail on NO power. does the start alteast turn over. door beeps when opened and key is in the ignition?

Ok, When I tried to start it, it made a click then then shut-down: no more headlights, turn signals, ac, key reminder chime, seat belt buzzer, no power of anything what so ever. the ecu didn't smell hot, it only did what I mentioned above. It was like when my batt cables wiggled off

Duhhhh baka me, the cable wasn't on far enough

Did you try to throw in your other ecu again? If so, Did it work?

If not, Check your fuse that is bolted in the fuse box, Under the hood. I'm guessing it is one of the fuses that blew.

What does the AFTER EDIT note mean? I can not understand it.

The headlights do not run thru the ECU and runs off of their own dedicate fuse in the engine bay os you either blew multiple fuses or the battery terminals/ wires are lose/ shot.

I am guessing he did not have the connector all the way into the ecu, Just as I mentioned in my first post that was ignored
