Ok to start off i had just gotten a rebuilt motor. now along the way, my car kept skipping timing.... Would so it around 3 times a week...... Now i had taken it to 3 different dealers so they could tighten up my timing belt, well they would promise me it wouldnt do it again.. but it skipped 2 times with them.... so i bought every timing components brand new from the mitsubishi dealer and even bothered to buy 3 different hydraulic tensioners.... but it kept skipping.... so now the skipping belt was fixed but did enough damage to make my car not idle right...!! so after a few tests here and there i narrowed it down, coming to all the intake valves being bent. and my seals went out after a boost leak... so i went on and installed new intake valves with fresh valve stems and a good resurface...!!! i got the block and teared it down to pieces and started cleaning everything..... and when i took the pistons out i noticed that the ring lands stayed intact. when i took the crank out i noticed that it had scratches on the surface of all rod bearings.... so i went on and took it to get polished, after that i installed brand new clevite71 rod bearings.... along with a new piston ring set from the mitsubishi dealer.... also got the oem mitsubishi metal head gasket and every gasket i needed to use
So here i am sharing it with felow members here in dsmtuners....
So far ive installed the oil pan, oil return line, intakemanifold, timing belt, alternator, starter, head, reused my arp head studs
