1-so my horn doesn't work. i try to press the horn and no sound. however, on my little remote, if i press the panic button, the horn honks. what's wrong here? i've tried checking the fuses, but they all look fine. any idea?

2-recently, i made a right turn and then my turn signal got stuck. now, the switch works 'fine'...meaning whenever i make a normal left or right hand turn and use the switch, it will go back to the center position. turning the switch to make my lights come on also work as well, but my right turn signal is just...stuck.

i tried to replace the switch. i found someone junking an avenger and thought it might work...yeah it didnt fit right. anyways, buying a new switch will probably fix my problem..but what if it doesn't? also, the hazard lights work fine.

1. For your horn, I would check the contacts on the steering wheel, or the relay. If your horn works with your alarm then you know that the horn its self is working.

Is the alarm stock or an after market? The stock one uses the same relay that the steering wheel activates. So if you have a stock alarm then you know its not the horn or the relay, so probably the switch.

If the alarm is after market, then it could be the stock relay or the steering wheel switch.

2. For the turn signal, your going to just get a new assembly. That will be the easy way to go.

well thanks for answering this old thread LOL

1-the alarm is stock. if i press the panic button on the remote, the car's horn honks loudly. however, i've replaced the fuses, the relay, and the whole steering wheel...no luck

2-i just bit the bullet and got a new turn signal switch.

yeah my advice to you is get a new one

u can either find someone parting out any 2g eclipse, or go to advanced and special order it.. takes like 2 days $45 (which i found to be the cheapest option)

if u need a quick write up, PM me and ill tell u how

Ya I have the same problem with my horn. Panic alarms works and so do the relays as we can hear them click when I press the horns on the steering wheel.

probably disconnected wires near the horn. Maybe I'll jack my car up and check for bad wires or somethin

I had something similar happen to my turn signals... They're stuck in a NASCAR-like "permanent left turn mode".

Do I have to remove the steering wheel to replace the switch assembly or can I just remove the column housing?

No just remove the column housing and tilt the wheel.

to add on to this, underneath the steering wheel, theres 3 screws (i forgot if theyre philips or 10mm). remove those and then the cover pops off, then the rest are philip head screws

The horn buttons in the 2g's are horrible. They are very cheap. Definitely in a spyder like mine, they are most likely rusted.

Confirmed, 3 phillips head screws hold the column housing. Once those were removed, I unsnapped the top from the bottom. The turn signal assembly is held in with two phillips head screws. After removing those and disconnecting two wire harnesses, the entire assembly just slides off. Reattaching the harness, replacing the two screws, and a function check... success!

Thanks for the advice everyone. DSMTuners comes through again.:thumb:

Now I don't have to invest in a "Signals Broken, Watch for Finger" bumper sticker.

haha i just drove around with my hazard lights on, then when i made a right turn, i just turned them off LOL. but then after awhile, i just pulled the fuse underneath the dash...

as for the horn...:hmm:

I just had a key fob programmed and now I have no horn, the interior lights flash when locking/unlocking my doors, and I lost the FM band on my stereo. Whats up with this?
