My First Autocross

So It took 2 hours of driving each way, but I did it. I finally got to run.

It was awesome.

My run actually starts at about 1:05.

A few notes for next time -

better brakes (at least braided lines and better fluid), better tires, and better suspension/bushings.

I ran a total of 5 times, including a last run in some light rain. This video was from my 2nd actual run. The first time I added an extra turn

Toward the end, about the 4th run, the brake pedal started squeaking, and my oil pressure light was flickering on and off. I checked the oil level, but it was fine. The tires held up well, even with the workout I gave them. It was a lot of fun. I can't wait for the HPDE/PDX in July.

Nice job. Looks like a PITA up at the top end with the cones. I can't wait till I start AutoX as well.

Deff. get some braided lines and switch out to either Motul or ATE Super Blue brake fluid. As for the tires, there are great reviews from members on here about Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec tires. I'll be running them on my car.

Yeah - the cones were pretty tight up there. But then the people running the show were just some random enthusiasts, not a professional body. It might also have been just me, since I'm not used to trying to slalom in my car.

At least it was on a decent track though
