What kind of resistor do you need to use leds for your interior lights such as the dome lights and the floor lights. I think those are 12v DC current and leds are 6v or something like that. I dont know much about leds and running them in a car. All you do is solder the resistor to one of the led's wires?

Yes, you can just solder a resistor to the + side of the LED. RadioShack should be able to get you the converions for various LEDs, or check this out: http://www.luxeonstar.com/resistor-calculator.php

Just enter in the info from your LEDs and voila, it'll tell you what you need for a resistor.
