Hey guys...

Just got my wheels back from paint today and I think they came out great. The color is a Dupont "Ultimate Gray Metalic" They wont chip at all, since this line of paint that Dupont has is basically the next thing to powdercoat...they use it over here for ambulances and tractor-trailers. Also the red lip along the edge is good-ol' pin-stripe tape...its just temporary. I wanted to see how it looked, and I LOVE IT. It will be permanent as soon as I can get them pin-stripped with some real paint. Tell me what you think.

Oh ya, the rims are wrapped in 225/45/R17 BFG KDWs

Now. hmm.. buy new rims or paint them like that? that looks hawt! Gives a whole new look to the car.

Thanks for all the comments guys:thumb::thumb::thumb:

Well, my dad works in the automotive paint industry...so lets say I got a hook up:shhh:

I prepped the wheels myself and had my dad paint them. Only thing I paid for are the new tires:D

So Brian, when I get my car back together can your Dad paint the Evo 8's that I'm getting?? :D
Car looks beautiful as always, you put the FP beast on there yet? And btw, you're gonna love those tires in the rain.

Heh, thanks Rick. I wish I could help you out with your Evo wheels...to be completely honest, he didnt paint them, he had one of his paint buddies shoot them one day....just makes it easier to explain LOL. He has no time anymore :(. Yup the FP30 is in, its only running off the wastegate right now tho (14psi)...gotta turn the boost up and work out some things and should be pullin hard:rocks:

Oh ya, more pics to come. Took the tri-pod out tonight;). Check back for updates!

+1 on what every one said
i like when things are changed and givin a difrent look but still keeping stock stuff
it looks amazing
and as you can see i have done it on my rims, but i actually did the hole lip in red.

its very easy
1-sandblasted my rims to metal.
2- prime the rims with maybe 2 coates
3- paint the lip red and give it about 10 15 min betwen each coat.
4- get your self a deck off cards from the doller store and after the lip is dry place them betwen the lip and the rim"sens the gsx rims are a 2 piece" it will be like a funel.
5- go at it on the spokes with whatever cooler you would like and give it anothe 2 coats and 10 15 min in between each one.

and they are done
i let my dry for 3 days then when over with a light wet sand and then clear coated

good job your car looks clean and the rims are top noch.

look good, gives the stockers a nice good loook to them.

Im a big fan of the time attack color scheme, works well.
