my custom electronic boost controller / knock box

OBD2 is slow and doesn't have knocksum. MUT is Mitsubishi's own diagnostic tool for communicating at a higher speed and can show the things we are interested in.

I'm using my old PLX M300 wideband O2, but any wideband o2 that has a linear voltage to AFR will work.

Yup, the 94 RT/TT uses MUT2. Thanks for the info Ceddy. I guess I should state it only supports 97-99, and not 95-96 models. I would need a 95/96 ECU to support MUT-over-OBD2 to make that an option.

So would I have to convert my setup or get a 97-99 to run this? Man I would try anything to get this to work in my 95, that'd be awesome! I give this a 15/10 on the scale of awesomeness.

Looks like there's interest in making this communicate with DSMLink. I'll put that on my to do list.

This device can communicate with the 95 DSM ECU using a special OBD2 mode that allows MUT requests (ie, Knocksum). So no problem there.

It can also communicate to OBD1, MUT, and AEM EMS.

This isn't an ad, and I don't want break any rules. Please contact me privately if you're interested in one for yourself.

A forum user gave me a free website to host software updates and the user manual for my device. In return I'm making this same device communicate with his Nissan Consult OBD1.

Thanks for the compliments. I graduated from Electrical engineering years ago, and recently in Computer Science. Can't find a job, so with my free time I made this.

Just what I have been wanting for a long time. If you can get it to work with link, I'd be all over it. Hate driving around with the laptop open all of the time, would just be nice to have a small display to show some vitals. Awesome work.

I'm still around. I've made variations of the original design. With a purchase of a 3D printer, I've made a boxed version such as this: Please ignore the horrible flash.

A long time ago I used to have my greddy profec boost controller and turbo timer in my air vent because it fit perfectly in my stealth. Today I 3D printed an LCD screen adapter so it fits perfectly inside the air vent, and retains the tilt function. No picture of that as of yet.

The same device currently supports:
DSM / 3000GT / Stealths OBD1, OBD2 and MUT.
AEM EMS v1 and v2,
MegaSquirt,
Nissan Consult.

Truly amazing, congrats on an awesome innovation and product! Kind of makes me sad I can't use it on my car LOL!

Impressive! Get a website and start pimping this thing! The Megasquirt crowd is a huge market, maybe you could get in with DIYAutotune for marketing it?
