sad to see one go if you were just a little closer i would snag the wheels and tires off you.

i would definitely part it out, you'll easily make your money back, hell even cut the quarters if they are in good shape, you'll sit on them for a while but its money. then once its all parted out put up a scrap metal add on craigslist and some dude in a beater truck will haul the remains away (done this once or twice, cant ya tell? )

My theory is owner was drunk, went boom, went home and slept off his dui. Cops showed up and "friend' was driving . Admit it! A real friend would've grabbed the emergency brake and swung it in backwards to kill those lights.

I went to the junkyard yesterday and lo and behold there is a black 2g 5spd gst almost in the front row..... $300 for the car, its a perfect candidate. Body is in pretty good condition... No rims bad engine and cloth interior is horrid. Just what i need, and for 300 cant turn her down. Haha I hesitate for posting this but, it has the EXACT same "euro" tail lights installed....... hahahahahah

The guy had no idea why the engine was bad. He also said there was no turbo on it, as im standing in front of it staring at the after market turbo. So who knows! I know my engine is straight. Just turned 100k and been stock its entire life, not to mention auto and girl driven before me. So ill tear the "Bad" engine apart and hope it is something minor, and keep it to rebuild, mod, and have as a spare. As soon as i get the two cars home this weekend ill take more pictures of the old and some of the "new." O btw 300 includes the paperwork to get me a title

I have allways had good luck with dsm's! My last 2 2g dsm's i got each for $800. One completely stock low mileage AUTO awd, needed only a new trans filter and fluid. The other the convertible only needed clutch packs!!! I will be super glad to be back in a 5 spd. If i was willing to give up AWD for the soft top i was willing to go auto too. I fixed my buddies nissan 240 so he is letting my drive tell he get his licence back in 6 months. So for now i have a $560 budget and 6 months.... Between the two cars i should have almost everything i need. The worst part of this whole thing for me, is having to start ALL over on paint prep and body work. I was going to start painting the convertible soon after my 150 hours of work i put into sanding and body filling.
