I thought I'd post about what I'm doing to my Talon.

My Talon is a 93 AWD, with a 6 bolt block in it. We had to use a 7 bolt head because my 6 bolt got meesed up with broken bolts.

I also have a 3" GM MAS and Translator, a slim line fan, Fidanza short throw shifter, removed balance belts, and probably some other small stuff I forgot.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Looks nice. Have you driven the car with the short shifter installed? I'm a little curious as to how well it works. Can you give me a short review of it?

Sorry man, I ordered it last friday, they are waiting on the 2g knock sensor I ordered for a buddy so I haven't had the privilige of trying it, today we put the head on the block and tommorow we put the new T3/T4 on, I broke a couple bolts installing the fuel system a while ago so it's just coming together, I guess I should have said that.

I like the vent pod for holding the boost gauge and SAFC. Where did you get it? How much? Did you have to do any cutting of the venting to get the gauge to fit?

When I bought the SAFC used, the guy who I bought it off of gave me that, he had it made by a local stereo shop who ripped him off. I had to cut some of the bolt off on the boost gauge and it's just held in their by hopes and dreams, I can spin it and pull it out, but it doesn't move otherwise, very ghetto. Oh ya and I had to cut off some of the vent housing, where you screw something into.

Well I've got it all together, now I can't get any boost, tuning is being difficult, and the car keeps stalling.

I think I have the wastegate hooked up wrong. Also I must have a vaccum problem somewhere.

i dont know if this helps at all concerning your boost gauge but i had a similar problem with the gauge spinning. i rapped a little bit of electrical tape right before the lip on the front of the gauge and then slide it in the pod. keep adding until it sits tight. it worked great on mine and is 100% not noticible.

Hey thanks, but mine actually doesn't move at all, if I tried to move it by hand it would move.
