I Was Wondering if any one could share some good info on which head i should go with for my build. I am planing to do some porting on it, i will also be upgrading the valve train up with some 280 hks cams and brain crower springs and retainers. I will be revving up to 7.5 to 8,000 rpm most likely at the track.

How much HP are you trying to make?

SEARCH! Lots of threads on 1g or 2g head. The way I understand it, 2G flows better until you have a LOT of air being pushed like when you have big turbo.

Well I don't completely agree i would say if you are planning to make this a straight drag car than i would say go with the 1g head. I run a 1g head but i have a cyclone for the low end power. You really need to give us a better idea what you are wanting to do.

Well Its not going to be a full-out drag car but i will be lightening it a little more (its a Civic i think its pretty light already as it is), I will not be driven as a daily but more of a weekend car mostly track and cruse around to local events and meets. I have a cyclone around and i was thinking of using it for the low rpm torque but if i go that rout i am going to make custom plenum for it. but yea what else would you need to no to help me make this decision?

stock vs stock I'd say 1g all the way, if your looking for an all out built head ported and everything I'd say 2g, but only if your doing full out all the way balls to the wall, from my understanding 2g head will flow better then 1g when fully ported, other wise I'd say 1g,

also am I reading this right are you putting this motor in a civic, if so please tell me or atleast do a write up on the mounts and how difficult this project is I plan on a 4g63 built civic as a future project.

sorry a little to late for write up, the motor is all ready in there but its not that hard. honestly the hardest mount to make was the trans one but the rest is cut and weld, and the secret to the axles fitting the spindle splines is not that hard jus use the spindle from a DSM and grind it down a bit so it fits the civic's control arm. Now if you ask me how did a do the all wheel drive part of it then good luck because i dont even remeber how i welded and bolted that in.
