My 500hp project need recommendations

This is my 500hp dd project.. 5 speed 97 eclipse awd.

if I dont get the full 500 its fine but 450 or 475 would make me happy..

Doing a 6 bolt swap into the car.. with a 2g head. If i need to upgrade something to reach my goal please relay me some info

Planned on using stock 2g mas but will use something else if needed.

Wanting to know if stock transfer case will work? or need rebuilt.. as well as rear differential.. etc.. anything needed done to make 500 I need to know about.


I was told not to use and aftermarket intake manifold because its not worth the money.. just what I was told..

If theres anything you guys recommend adding or changing??? Any help is much appreciated thanks for your time!!!

Why spend all that money on the tranny when you could spend half as much and get a twin disc??

Guessing he wants to hold the power and not blow that trans..

Look at a Borg Warner s259 for your goals. They have shown to spool as quick as a BB and they are around $200 to rebuild instead of spending $400-$600 for the whole center section. Most people go. 20 over to clean up the cylinders but have your block checked. If your bores are good and have cross hatching go with standard size pistons and save some cash.

On a side note stay away from Brian Crower.

Im in the same boa with the e-85 situation. Same goals as well. I purchased the manleys with ti retainers and my block is also .20 over....I just plan on using 93 octane with meth injection. It seems thats what a lot of people do when their in our boat

a lot of hy35 & he341 holset come with 9cm^2 turbine (good spool up) both these turbos are very afordable and are capable of 500hp
