Yo all you wisconsin boys, you guys gonna go to MOD? Mitsubishi Owners day? We are gonna caravan down there. Check out my Chicago Area roll call post in chicago area forum. Im just trying to get the most guys to go in a huge video worthy group

I know me, Kp116 and Peepers are going. I can assume J is going as well. Among a few other guys we know.
 
The Madison/Western WI guys usually meet up with me and cruise down I39 into Normal for MOD.
It's silly to detour into Chicago and then crawl down I55 when we can fly down I39 and not have any traffic until we hit Normal. The Plant is another 5-10 mins from the I-55/I-74/I-39 intersection.
 
Yup, definitely going to MOD :thumb: We usually meet up with Steve and a few others at the Oasis.

Update:
Tried to start, but no go (no spark). It was late so we called it a night, grabbed some beers and played a bit of Dirt3 to wind down. Trying again tonight with renewed gusto and feverish like determination fueled by peanut M&Ms. :thumb:
 
Jon, have you confirmed that it is not the AEM twin-fire CDI box I gave you to try? Like I said, it would pop the fuse during "key-on". If it is doing this, then the one I gave you won't work properly and we need to ship it to AEM for repair and we will need to find a different ignition setup to try (i.e. ARC-2).
 
While J and Kenny were on their way to madison to pick up another wiring harness Matt and myself were in the schematics and tracing wires. Found out that J spliced the ignition wire too soon or something, we werent getting the power to anything we needed. Needless to say we ran a power wire to the "ignition/run" wire that would hook into the steering column and everything's golden.

Did however run into a little snag upon start up.. :/ We kept hearing a pretty loud clank. Kind of like a rod knock but only intermittently. Checked timing, took the valve cover off just to check all the rockers and make sure there wasnt any foreign meterial.. Took the number four plug out and found our bad news!! Somehow a 10mm bolt made its way into the cylinder.. Possible bent valves, no compression in cyl 4..

I think I should stop updating J's thread though! :thumb:

I don't know what I have around for spare head stuff, but I do know I have lots of valve seals! ROFL!

Get Pakes Cylinder Heads in Milton to take care of it fast. As for the piston, hopefully it is still ok.

I think were planning on using the motor out of Matts car with something close to his 16g set up just for the shoot out! :hellyeah: This thing is going to be friggin nuts!
 
Ummmm yeah, that would be absolutely NUTS with Matt's old 16G setup!
