This is still in the rough draft phase. I decided I wanted my stock 2g cluster gauges to match my autometer carbon fiber gauges. I looked into putting real autometers in and the cost is astronomical. I decided to give this a shot and wanted to share my progess this far.

Its not quite where I want it, and im still using printed "fake" carbon fiber. I will eventually have these relicated on a fancy vinyl printer or something similar, but for now they look pretty decent if you dont look for the flaws.

If you want some more details on how Ive gotten this far PM me.

Black Widow97 - thats the beauty of it. you could make them look however you wanted.

ChiTownHussla - it cost me $4 so far. Yes its 1g capable. If your not a good at tedious and maticulous work than its not for you. if you dont like the offerings available online, youd be best to pay somebody to make something custom for you. This has taken a good deal of time, and the process is far from perfect at this point. Also you need to have adobe illustrator and adobe photoshop, and be able to use them to do this my way.

I will consider a write up... for now, I used a good high dpi scanner, adobe illustrator, adobe photoshop, and a printer capable of printing on different types of media. The chrome rings are just a test fit, as you can see the gaps right now. Also, I am working on chrome rings for the smaller gauges, but its proving to be difficult.

they look exactly the same as the stock gauges at night, maybe a hair less bright. I havent decided how to light the cluster yet so I havent changed anything as far as that goes.

most likely will ditch all back lighting for a less common front lighted gauge cluster (you'd have to see it)

One very important detail to ask about - accuracy. Even when copying the stock gauges and printing them of you have to get them the exact size or the reading accuracy will be off on your gauge. What are you doing to accommodate this? Others than that they look good. Never really thought of just jumping on my computer and printing off my own gauge design. I like it.

I just want to know what you did to get off the old black of the gauge face, and then how you applied the cf look alike material..It doesn't sound that hard..I'm guessing you left the stock colors on there for rpm's n such, instead of repainting them..
