Hello friends, I am building my engine and I would like to give me all the basic tips before I start doing it, I would like a table of all the motor torques, my dsm is 7 bolts (95) but the shell is 1GB
I am using ARP (headstuds, main studs, main, rod, flywheel bolts and crankshaft bolt) I have no moly lube, What else I can use?
i live in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico
leave a few pictures, as you proceed to upload more photos of my engine...

The FSM's for both models can be found in the links above. You may also want to look through a few of the Build Journals here for some tips and tricks not covered in the service manual.

Is this engine already mounted in the body? As stated above, the motor mounts are in different locations for 1g 7 bolts. You can view the differences inside the service manuals.

You can use 30wt oil instead of the ARP molly for the head studs but the torque spec is different than using the molly.

You are using a 2g block? The 2g block does not have the motor mounts like a 1g block, on a 2g the front and rear mounts are on the trans. Are you going to fabricate motor mounts for it?
when I bought my car was in deplorable conditions, then taught them how to buy it, and I will use a 2g block that was the one that had the car, all the supports are well except that is next to the radiator

thanks for the manuals, when I start my project upload photos

Nice fluidampr pulley, I want one! Oz, you should have told me you needed some moly lube, I had extra I could have sent with the rest of the stuff down there.
jajaja thanks budy, I did not know you had extra-moly lube, if I had known, believe me I would have said to send together with the other things
greetings

Was the car running well when you bought it? If not, go ahead and check the ECU - its easy to get to (behind your center console) and they are frequently bad. Then you'll have plenty of time to hunt down a new one while you're rebuilding the engine.

Orale that's cool you stay in chihuas, I got family in valle de zaragoza and juarez, you should have everything on this site if you haven't looked around yet, those rods I don't know if you got them used but they look used, id get a new set if they are discolored. Good luck with your build, glad to see someone in that area doing a build.

Thank you very much friend, for now these are the parts that I have, because I'm just going to start, when I start to build will show more progress photos, this is just the beginning, and before attempting to assemble the table I would like to get of torque with ARP bolts (crankshaft, connecting rods, flywheel, main studs, and head studs)
one more question ...
I can use loctite on the ARP bolts??????

I just did a complete 7 bolt build with ARP everything and I had a hard time finding all of the torque specs.

My machinist did the crank and rods, so I don't know them.

But the headstuds are easy to find.
The cam tower bolts are 14.5 ft-lbs
The Flywheel bolts are 98 Ft-lbs

If you don't have moly, use white lithium grease. The whole point of moly lube is to provide an even torque curve under tension.

Thank you very much to all for your comments, I am trying to build my engine with all the recommended specifications, take the opportunity to comment on what this day I get
Thank you for the shipment IrishBeatdown

I will not use the timing belt, because that I install it on my other dsm that then I will show you, but my question is the following
What throwout bearing is most recommended?
ACT or OEM?????
I have both

Like most things with our cars OEM is the way to go.. If you can score a brand new OEM bearing you will be golden

Just a heads up. Probe Pistons need alot of Deburring and Prep Work. If its in the funds, I would buy new pistons. Good Luck with the build

as referred ...

Just a recomendation get new senors. Its easer to put them in with the engine out and like anything else they do wear and when your talking boost its just safer. For reliability.

Until now I have the OEM O2 sensor new
What other sensors should I buy?????

I went with. Oem on the timing belt stuff and water pump. I went with aftermarket cam gears for bling with a clear cover.they will get better use on my next motor.

I am waiting for the kit of timing belt to a forum member sent to my house called fun kart kid
these days I hope to begin building my engine

Im replacing all of mine. O2 , throttle, cam , crank, knock, temp, oil, basically all of them. The hadest one to get to is the crank and then knock. I would start with those 2. I just dont want any issues with my build and I will be pushing this 7 bolt till the 6 bolt is ready. I mean think about it, 20 + year old sensors + more power and being tuned with link. Im wanting reliable and dependability. . Im also changin out to sd.

And dont skimp .. go oem

For the egt gauge you can get a bung that you weld onto your manifold from one of the supporting vendors. As far as where to install it not too sure.

I'm sure you know, but make sure you have the proper machine work done when you install you arp rod and main bolts.

Oooh and if you can afford it, instead of getting an oem 02 sensor you should consider buying a wideband o2 kit.

It will come with a new wideband o2 sensor. Its a necessity if your going to be changing a lot of things or tuning
