My $170 Flat Black Paint Job

We FINALLY painted my 1995 Eagle Talon on Friday night.

Here is a before picture

And here is a shot from Friday night. It’s still a little wet so it’s still kind of glossy.

I’ll have some somewhat completed pictures next week when the Hoosiers/Rota slipstreams go on. I plan on blacking out all the windows too.

Went to a paint store and had them mix up some flat black ($150ish).

Gun is from Harbor Freight (on sale $15ish).

did you wet the floor before spraying to keep the dust down?

Nah, just swept and used the air gun to blow anything out before shutting the doors. I'm not looking for perfection. It'll only see the track and an "occasional" street.

We put a inline filter in to grab any water from the compressor, used wax/degreaser before paint and a tack cloth right before painting.
