I have searched around looking for information on installing a mustang tb on my 2g and havnt' come up with very useful information. I have the tb and manifold already so going with a different setup is out of the question. Can someone that is actually running this setup reply with what parts you had to use. I understand there is a sensor or something. If anyone has pics that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Im running a professional products 75mm early mustang throttlebody on my 1G. No additional parts needed besides your manifold flange accepting the new t/b. EGR block off plate should be included with your t/b since you wont use it on your car. I had to add an extra return spring since the plate was so touchy due to soft of a spring on t/b tumbler. Other than adjusting your tps voltage for your 2G everything was good. You will have to keep it reved up untill it warms up to start idling on its own if there is no iac or cold start valve. If running on Link make sure you enable (simulate idle switch) when you install the t/b to keep it from dying when closing the throttle. Hope this helps.

Wire in the mustang TPS. I am currently (but not for much longer) running a 90 DSM TPS and its all screwwy but drivable. I ordered the adapter for the IAC which made things alot easier. I dont remember what web site but I found it on this site using the search feature for 75mm throttle body. Good luck.

Ok thanks for your help do you happen to have any pics of the wiring you had to do? I have a friend that does alot with domestics so I can probably pick up a mustang tps and maybe the harness I would need. And is the IAC off the mustang or dsm? Also what did you do for your throttle cable I have seen some people have machined pulleys. Are any of those available aftermarket? Thanks Again

I actually ordered the magnus one because I was getting the magnus manifold at the same time but they wanted like 90 bucks more then the price they had on the internet so I settled for the professional products. So your just running the mustang TPS and no IAC?

On the mustang tps there is a red, black, and green wire coming off the sensor and on the dsm (2G) harness that goes to the tps I have a black, yellow, brown, and green. What goes where and which one do I get rid of with my up coming wire tuck? Thanks again

Sorry I dont have any pictures right now. I have the 90 DSM TPS in the car right now but will soon have the mustang TPS..I have my original IAC on the throttle body (thats what the adapter is for) Sorry Im not sure which wires go where yet. Im still concentrating on puting miles on my new tranny before a start jacking/ having the car jacked with again. Its hard as hell to drive like a granny after you havnt driven your car for over 7 months :(

Man I know exactly what you are talkin about last febuary I rebuilt the top end of my engine and put in a new act clutch and flywheel. Long story short I should of rebuilt the whole engine then becuase my rod bearings went on the dyno about 1200 miles later. Good thing for me now im building a 2.1 de stroker :hellyeah:

I am currently installing the same TB on my 1g. It seems no one has really answered the question about making the throttle cable work with this TB. Pics would be awesome! Thanks!
