I figured it was going to happen sooner or later. ACT 2600 with the stock fork. It didnt happen until i crossed the finish line and put it in neutral to coast, I pushed the pedal in and it stuck to the floor. I got out and looked under the car and the slave cylinder rod was just dangling there. Then I pulled on the end of the fork and it came on out. I want to order the Taboo fork so I dont have to worry about this happenening again but ive seen quite a few people say they ordered parts from them and they never shipped it. What do you all think ?

hmm, i dont know what to tell you, but i have a machV revised clutch fork and fulcrum ball which are both brand new if u want........ :thumb:

Honestly, I wouldn't order the Taboo fork if your needing your car back anytime soon.

Ironic, I ordered something from Taboo over a month ago and haven't recieved it. I had to file a paypal complaint because I couldn't even get ahold of them. I would also recommend going elsewhere.

Thats odd i have Order 3-4 times from them and its shipped out the next day and the product kicks ass. I have see stuff like that happen my buddy order a clutch fork and pivot ball from DSMotorsport and it has been over a month and he hasn't seen it and i have ordered from them and never had to wait very long. Just keep bugging them. :thumb:
I Have a stock Cryoed one and it work perfect.

i ordered taboo's clutch fork 2 months ago, havent recieved it. dont know what his problem is, does anyone know how to get ahold of him? other than email, i've emailed him alot and he hasnt anwered any of them.

I feel ya man. That guy got me good too. The weird thing is he does ACTUALLY ship some things out. I managed to get my ss clutch fork from him (after a TON of hassle) but the clutch pedal bushings I ordered never came. Since you can't get ahold of him and he won't return emails or pm's I finally called him out on talk and he got FURIOUS and told me he wouldn't send out my bushings. Sooooooo I had paypal refund my money. Guys a prick to deal with (assuming you can ever get in touch with him) and ordering is ALWAYS a hassle.

What really sucks is his parts rock.

Good luck man hope it comes to you someday...

I ordered mine back in sept, my money cleared paypal, but I haven't seen the fork yet. I haven't gotten a reply from emails either. Even recent ones after his server issue. I would suggest trying another email, but if anyone has a better method and the info to contact, please share, cuz I'm frustrated as hell.

As always, good stuff comes to those who wait. This is something he does on the side. It's at least a 3-week waiting time. It says that right on his site.

Since you think the people who respond to these posts are whiny lets try this:

You paypal me 100.00 of your money. Now go outside and pull the tranny out of your car since you just broke your cluch fork(in theory) and plan on 3 weeks going by.

You figure you can have your car back up and running before the track meet in one month. Well that month has come and gone and you have a non-running car because you are waiting on that "part you can wait for".

You email...one week goes by, no reponse. It is now 1.5 months since you paypaled out your 100.00. Your car is still undrivable in your garage. HMMMMMM the website said 3 weeks. You email again, no reponse. 2 months car still in garage. Email on "the part you can wait for". No response. You are emailing almost every day, no reponse. 2.5 months go by car still in garage. Cant get your 100.00 back from paypal because it is 30 days after the transaction. It is almost 3 months. There is no number to call you have no idea if he took the money and ran. And you need your car running. Plus you are out 100.00

So tell me honestly this wouldnt upset you?????????????

Of course it would upset me. As a matter of fact, I am an impatient person as well. Had my fights with AGP once. What's the alternative though, that's what I would ask myself. It sucks you guys have to wait too long for your parts, but they will get there. :thumb:

I dunno maybe a simple email response from the seller letting people know the status of their parts and/or hard earned money??

It takes a simple 1/2 minute to resond to a simple email of "when can I expect my parts"

Funny this is the exact reason i left dsmtalk, cause i couldnt stand taboo and taboo speedshop. Hes a jerk, but damn he makes a nice clutch fork. Tried to buy one and he would sell to me so i had to get a friend to order it for me. Took like 1.5 months back in may but it did come.

Good luck to all.

Is he still in business? This really sucks, who has ran a 2600 with the "updated" factory fork? I just dont want to be broke down with a broken clutch fork.

Taboo makes a few good products. Unfortunatly theyre customer service and reputation just isnt good enough for me to take my chances in ordering anything from him. I am trying to talk our fab guys into making the two products which are most useful in my opinion, the billet clutch release fork and the rear toe eliminator bushings and POSSIBLY the clutch pedal bushings. The extended clutch rod does NOTHING for your car so its a waste of time anyway. Plus Speed Source makes it anyway. The camber kit is CRAP, Ive installed one and it sucks, just spend the money and get the nice Ingalls kit.

Who would be intersted in ordering those products from a reputable company that has great quality and great customer service? Plus we would have many copies of each piece ALREADY made and in stock, so when you order them, they ship the next day. No waiting 3 weeks or more BS. Im not really trying to advertise here, we probibly dont stand to make much if any off these parts, just trying to make them available to guys like me who NEED them without risking loosing my money and precious time.

I would buy one, I figured some dsm shop would start making them, I emailed slowboy a while back to see if they would make any, they just said they havent started making driveline parts. If one of the many reputable dsm shops would make them and send them out, they would sell a bunch of these. I guess we all will just have to wait and see, has anyone ran a 2600 with a new stock fork with good results? I would like to get my talon on the road :D

I will talk to Martin about it Monday then. We have definatly had a few cars with 2600s break the old forks and every time we've put a NEW one in, they seem to have been fine. We've definatly never had a car come back with a broken new fork. I think they just fatigue over the years and the heavy pressure breaks them. They seem to break at the point where the hole is drilled thru for the rivit holding the pivot ball retaining clip on. I'd say just order a new stock one for now, you should be just fine.

Thats probably what Ill do for now. It really sucks driving my automatic n/t  . I also have an 89 colt gt turbo, but the water pump is out on it :( does AMS ever mess with those?
