Hi all, I am back with a new dsm under my belt. Traded my original one for a del sol because my mechanical abilities weren't up to par to keep my dsm up and running right. Plus my budget was really tight LOL.

Anyways I have a 2g 1997 GSX AWD mostly stock. Problems that I know about are a fuel sender unit gasket leak. This will be fixed by next week. I will order gasket on Friday when I get paid.

I am getting multiple codes at once here.
p0170_ from what I understand it means its running lean
p0136- again I found out its bank 1 o2 sensor
p0141- bank 2 o2 sensor
p1500- Alternator or failed ECU
p0443-evap code (guessing cause of the gasket)
p1105- unknown what it can be to me

What would make all of these go at once? now I have cleared the system this morning and am waiting to see what comes back up.Can it be the CAS sensor?

what do you guys recommend my plan of attack to be? I would rather not spend over 150$ in o2 sensor if something else is causing the lean condition.

I did a boost leak test and It had no major leaks. lost the 20 Lbs in about 10 seconds. no major hissing.

I am not sure about that gasket but I am pretty sure I did it right.

The front o2 has been replaced. The rear one is only for cat effeciency.

I will not get ecmlink because I have ecuflash, jsut not hooked up yet.

I dont know why it has the double pumper to be honest. car came with a stock t25.

The p1500 was taken care of. My alternator was just loose. I did the rewire also. for both pumps.

I recently found out that I am missing a ground from engine to battery.

This is where I am as of right now. I have the stock fuel sending unit assembly with stock pump coming in as we speak. I will throw that in and sell the double pumper setup. Hopefully this weekend I can get all the done and report back.
I just wanted to see if anyone had ideas.

Can I disconnect one of the pumps from the double pumper setup for now? this way it is like only one pump is there right?

I am not sure about the disconnecting one, but either way it will over run it. DEFINITELY ground that battery, I actually read today something about improper grounding causing power issues (dyno proven) I wouldn't even think it would start without a ground :O I really wanna see your car running right, along with every other DSM. If that stock pump doesn't help, shoot, maybe you shouldve gotten a wally 190, then check all fuel lines, and check for LEAKY injectors. Do you have another ECU you can try in there? Try sea foaming it, I know it sounds dumb but, we got a car before that was running something like what you said and we sea-foamed it and it literally woke right up. also injector cleaner. but Idk, try the other stuff before that. If none of this works let me know. I'm going to subscribe to this thread, lets get this car running right!:hellyeah:

The battery is now grounded to the tranny to engine bolt.. It had the battery to chassis ground.

I will have the pump tomorrow so hopefully I can swap it out and check. I have no need for a wally really. I am running lean not rich.

I did swap out ECU, no difference.

When you say seafoam, u mean in gas tank right? I dont rly feel comfortable putting seafoam through intake on my 4 grand car I just got LOL

Yes in the gas tank. Running lean with two wally 255's? are you sure??? check your injectors. and all the fuel lines. there's an issue somewhere. hopefully it's just the pump/hanger... make sure everything is sealed up fuel wise as well.
edit- have you checked all hoses for leaks? other than intercooler piping. sensors? just because the CEL isn't on, doesn't mean there isn't any bad sensors.

I do have a leak at pump. But that is the gasket I think. It leaks to on top of the double pumper setup.
I will run seafoam today to see.
What sensors should I check?
O2 is new. Ect checked out OK.
Only cel is for rear o2

I say lean according to my narroebandn. And also my lack of power
If and when I boost, I have to ease the throttle or it will just pop and backfire and go nowhere until I release the throttle and start slow again

even if some sensors are bad, they wont show up on a scanner. backfire? i've understood that as a overfuel. that seal might be causing it. other wise if the injector seals aren't on right or are bad you'll be getting too much air. any leak around that area would cause it to go lean. but hey, lets see what happens after that stock pump/hanger is replaced.

Exactly.

If fuel pressure is still low after that, you probably have a semi-smoked wire to the pump or a kinked fuel supply line, or both. You can PM me again if you still have problems after the stock hanger is in place.

Unfortunately I will be leaving the country for about 3 weeks. I have been soaking the feed line on the stock assembly ### the 14 and 19 are still together. Update when I come back on the 29

OK GUYS I FINALLY aD TIME TO WORK ON IT . What I ended up doing was changing back to the stock tWo G hanger and using the 6 AN FEED as the feed. this basically solve my cold start hot start issues and also I can bOOST with little to no hesitation . I still do have a slight hesitation under hi hi boost but I believe it is due to boost leaks The aftermarket fuel pressure regulator that I bought and thought was faulty is actually a good working unit . Thanks to all those who help me it is greatly appreciated I just thought I would update this and keep everyone posted as to my updates
