Hello all, ive been undergoing the planning of the swap for my car. im gonna be real and consult the experts on this one.
i wanna slap the later version (found in 3g eclipse and 8g galants) 4g64 w/ DOHC swap on my 4g, Melody and boost it.

i have a general idea of what i need, and what parts ill have to fabricate (motor/trans mounts, brackets, etc)
ive read through the process of both the old gen 64 and new new gen (w/ timing cover flip duh) 64 swaps (ty to Mitch and mirage6evo on MPF) and i have a general idea of how much of a pain in the ass this will be.

as far as im aware nobody has done this swap before into my car at least, its been done a million times on 5th gen mirages but im not so sure about my generation.

what could i be missing here? this swap makes more sense for me as 6 bolt 4G63s cost way more than a 64 or 69 i could pull from any given car in a yard or via shells from wherever. and ive poked at a few G4JS heads around a few yards and thus far everything seems absolutely obtainable, i just feel like im missing something to spark this into motion.

the 4g mirage (2g summit) has the same axle length as the 5g mirage, both have similar wheelbases and overall dimensions so i dont feel like i need to do a BUNCH to get this to fit.
any further insight from here would be heavily appreciated. -Mark
