I have a MSD DIS 2 ignition and I am thinking about putting it on my 91 GSX. Originally I was going to put it on my 95 GSX, but I think I will just use the 95 for daily driving. Is there any one out there that has done this and what knida benifites could I see using the MSD DIS 2? Will I need to use a tach adapter on the 91 also?

Yes, tach adapter needed. You will see better gas milage and smoother throttle response. Plus a little gain in power. :thumb:

Thanks ;)

I have a '93 and needed an adapter. Same gains as above. Also you can program a stutter box for racing, retard, ignition interuptor for antitheft, and more. Very cool unit.

well the adapter, is #8912, or is there a different one for 1G's?

I haven't seen to much of a power increase. Who says 5-10 hp isn't worth it?
I would be hesitant putting it on a stock unit (car).

I also have an MSD 6212 and the tach adaptor 8912. I tried wiring it up but i kept frying ecu's so i gave up. Is there anybody who has successfully installed one of these nifty lil' red boxes? If so, hook me up with your schematics so i can run it also.
