So, my motor mounts are bad...Well, one of them are ok. I need 3 motor mounts and a tranny mount to be perfect.

What do you think, replace all of them? Or, can i get away with replacing two?

I can't find a tranny mount, so i would need to go to the dealer...Is the tranny mount necessary to install if i do two mounts?

It's probably about $100 for 3 mounts and the tranny mount is 50...So, your looking at $150 plus labor...This is why I'm trying to find a little cheaper way...

Maybe i should just drive easy and only race from a roll. LOL

Car doesn't shake from a roll, only from the start if I'm not easy.

Get some Prothane inserts and use this method. The inserts are around $70 to do ALL of them depending if you own 1g or 2g. I did it using that method above and it took around 5 minutes to do a mount. All you need is a saw, drill, jack, and tools to pull the mounts out.

I have a set of Prothane Solid motor mounts on my 95 gst they are great but you do feel and hear a bit more vibration. I didnt mind as i have had a few rowdy stangs that rumbled and shook. Nothing too bad. i would use them again for sure. They are cheaper then the replacement piece also.
Check RRE website it has a how to also i think.
It took me forever to get that damn ring out without a sawzall.
You can definately do the front and the sides with a jack by yourself or with a friend for support & with the drill and sawzall method you dont need muscles to do it. Believe me you dont want to use a screwdriver and hammer to bang it out like i did. However the tranny mount is a bit@h. It requires lowering the tranny i believe. Never changed mine and i changed the front twice though. LOL I used a washer on each side that was the same size as the front mounts when i put it in the second time around and it keeps them pinched together nicely with no problems. Trust me.

just replace all of them and call it a day ( replace only by original parts) my advise and i could be wrong dont go for this prothane stuff as you really dont know when your balance shaft will go bad and the vibration then will drive you crazy ( those prothane are really solid but you will hear some vibration.) its your car and your choice.

just put 4 orignal from the company and call it a day ( the transmission mount is a MUST)

i bought the 4 mounts for 200 USD and labor cost me 50$ but its really worth it

good luck :thumb:
