:talon: :talon: my upper motor mount is completely shot.i have 2 polyeurathane inserts(red rubber)and i was wondering can u just rip the old part out of the arm and just use "blue glue" to put the red ones in? or do i have to buy whole new upper arm? or any suggestions on how to put this in would be great. i havent torn the other one apart b/c i dont have the money right now to buy a new are when the inserts came with the car.:talon: :talon:

You are using energy suspension inserts correct? The stock rubber is still there but with two polyurethane inserts, one on each side of the rubber?

The guy tried to do you a favor regardless if it helped or not. This is unproductive and you will be warned if a mod sees this. I suggest you delete it.

If you want help, please rephrase your original grammitically incorrect question into something we can all understand better. I am very confused by what you are trying to say. Is your original mount torn? Do you have another mount? By upper mount do you mean front mout? What do you mean when you say the inserts came with the car?

You do not need to "glue" motor mount inserts in. Just press the old bushing out, and put in the inserts. If you don't have access to a press, get a big hammer and start pounding.

they TOP mount is torn...you know the motor mount that is on the top right and the arm moves to the front of the motor.the rubber in it tore and i have 2 new inserts that look like they would fill in the hole where the old one is. its hard to explain what i have.but they arent thin. each one is about 2 inches thick with a lip oround the outsides of them.

Let's see, you have a broken rubber piece in your motor mount and you were provided with links that describe IN DETAIL how to replace the rubber piece, and you still would like to know how to replace the rubber piece?

Did you even bother to look at any of those un-helpful links that were provided to you?

We are all basically lazy creatures but there are two occasions when it is beneficial to appear otherwise; when we ask for help, and when we offer it.

The inserts might support a worn or torn bushing but I would replace the mount with a new or used (undamaged) one.

Unless I'm missing something, I also am a bit confused. I've read (and been a poster of) those threads listed, however I'm still unclear as what to do about mounts such as this:
http://www.plymouthlaser.com/fmount.htm
which uses inserts (not a replacement), and what to do about it if they are torn.

the links that you posted are for the supports. the pieces i have are not supports...i tried to fit them but i couldnt...i dont have a digi camera so i cannot show you them...i think they are the ones in the pic farthest to the right or the second ones...http://www.dsmtuners.com/parts/product_info.php?cPath=2_133_166&products_id=986

But i do not have the pin...if they work ill use the orignal.thats my question pretty much in a nutshell...i dont know how to really explain...its the upper mount the bolts right infront of the cam gears and the mount is to the right.

I'm assuming you're talking about this one: http://www.plymouthlaser.com/dmount.htm

That one is easy. Just get the old mount out and put the new one in. Just like the link says. You will need the metal sleeve though. You can try to use the original pin but I don't know if that will work since I've never tried it.

I am an idiot...sorry about that.:| i dont know what i was thinking when i clcked that link. For some reason it just didn't look like what i was trying to do. then i looked at it just now and it was exactly what i needed. thanks. and sorry about that.
