Motor from Japan cam sensor help

Hey I got a motor from Japan and my friend is telling me that the cam sensor is on the driver side of the motor. if this is true is there any way to wire it to work or must i pull the motor back out and change the whole cam?

What kind of motor did you get from Japan? Are you unable to locate the sensor?

The JDM 4g63 is the same design as the USDM.

The CAS on our JDM(whatever that means) 4g63's is integrated onto the Intake Cam Gear. You can see it when you remove the CAM Gear Cover. You should also be able to look up photos on here as well, so i have noticed before. I have also come across ppl who convert to the passenger side CAS with cables and sensor kit. I'm sure if you search you will be able to find all the info you need to either change the sensor position or keep using the stock one. Good luck.
