Alright ive been you know making some extra cash here and there by picking up MAF's off Mitsubishis. There was a 98 Montero at the junk so i had plan to go and pick up its maf to sell, i didnt have time to do it myself so asked my dad if he could. When he came back with it i saw that the serial number from the ones i have normally been dealing with (#482) he came with a 011 and i am wondering if the airflow for this is identical as the 482 or 399? help?

no:toobad:. the montero maf has less flow than an evo 8/9 maf. not by much but its about 20-35 pounds per min dif. i bought a montero maf thinking it was an evo maf bcuz they look identical,:hmm: but after further research, i found out that i got jipped 50 bucks:ohdamn:.. how much are you selling your 482's for? is there any way that i could buy one from you?? :D

It is not the same as an Evo MAF, as stated.

But depending on the engine, whether a 3.0L or a 3.5L, it may be the same unit as a turbo 2G DSM or a non-turbo 2G 3000GT/Stealth. If it is a 3.0L engine, forget about it. If it is a 3.5L engine and is truly a 1998 (not a 1999) model year, it should have MD183609, the MAF for 2G turbo DSMs and non-turbo 2G 3/Ss. In 1999, the Montero received the same MAF as the 3G non-turbo (SOHC) 3000GT, one not equivalent to the 2G turbo DSM MAF.
