Evo 9 maf

So I have been reading about this because I have one sitting in my car and I have a harness to plug it in. But what I am understanding is that on a 1g you can run the 550cc-560cc with just the 2g maf and be ok. But you cannot do this the a 2g because it flows the closer to the same amout of air as the 2g maf does as well. So say I'm already running rich on my stock injectors, wouldn't putting in this maf benefit me and then add the 560cc later on?

If you're running rich on a relatively stock setup, then you have other issues. What makes you think you're running rich in the first place?

At wot there is a gray smoke that comes out the exhaust. I'm thinking its from the evo 9 punk that is installed.

Evo 9 fuel pump that is required.

Am I not understanding this correctly? The maf and the o2 sensor basically controll the cars fuel output so if you ran this maf with. I'm not understanding why if you put the evo injectors in along with the maf the car won't run correctly. I have read the other threads on this but I guess I'm missing something. The 1g people do it all the time.

Well I see your got autometer a/f gauge that I belive is a narrow band so you should probably change that for a wideband. And honestly you can just save your money maybe sell some old stuff in your house xbox, ps3 get ecmlink and get whatever you want 3g maf, 2g maf, speed density and will be good. Guessing with maf to injector is pointless because it will never be spot on without a tune. Sure it may run ok what at idle? But it won't be really something you should rely on and be cheap about.

Yea just get the aem wideband. The narrow bands arent accurate they just give you a little show haha. Wideband is the way to go

Oh I disconnected that thing a long time ago. It's just in the car still a wide band is the next investments. I'm ready to start making some more power now.

I hear you "more power more power more!" Just be smart about it and do it once so you do have to repeat and waste money not doing it right the first time.
