Hi,

Well my ignition transistor gone away and the maf too, so I need to replace both, now my mechanic have EVO 9 maf for spare I can get it pretty cheap, am running dsmchip with 11.4 AF and 17 psi (actuator) with 650 FIC inyectors, E316G, evo 7 fuel pump rewired, can I use the EVO 9 MAF with my setup at the momment?

sorry for my grammar, english is not my native lenguage :).

Please advice as always.

The Evo Maf flows more air per unit metered. If you put it on with out adjusting anything it will make you run lean.

I'm running an evo8 ecu in my car and had to scale my MAF to 240 compared to the evo8s 360 so there is a big difference in the amount of air per hz that the MAF puts out. If you send the chip back in it can be set up to compensate for the different MAF but just putting it on will seriously hurt your car.

There are different compensation maps for each particular mas(1g,2g,evo) that should be coded in to the ecu file. There are also usually a few other code changes required.
You will be able to compensate also with some sort of tuning device such as SAFC, MAFT GEn2, etc
Do you have any pics of the evo4 mas or part number? Is it possible its the same as 2g?

not is not the same I dont have the part at the momment, but I was lookingt yesterday and the part number is unique (i dont remember the PN :) )

the evo 4 have the same inyector size of the evo 3, my mechanic have one.

but comparing that MAF (evo 4) over the evo 8 maf is more closer to the 2G maf.
