Friday evening would seem to be the best time. I would say around 7 or so that way some people who have to work have time to get things ready and to meet up.

On top of that we need to find a place for ALL of us to meet up and leave together. I would imagine it would be some place in Avondale or the like as we all need to head that direction anyway.

Are we actually going to 'stop' in Avondale to meet up.. or drive by and have you guys meet us on the freeway again?

I cant wait for this Last year I was still a WRX owner so I didn't even know about it. I'm down for a caravan to CA.

Theres a gas station right off the 10 in Avondale. Take the Dysart exit, turn right, its on the corner right off the freeway. People could grab quick snacks, etc. then all jet from there...

That sounds good.

Im not to familiar with the area, but how far is MOD from phoenix? I plan on going but i live in Yuma, az so do you guys pass thru here?

We go through on the 10 as opposed to the 8, but I can't remember were we go when we get into California. We may pass close by but by that time we would be in CA. I can map it out and see if we come close.

from the 10 I believe you guys would take the 60 west to the 57 south...exit katella and go west bound from there until holder...

OR

you can continue in the 60 and take it through the LA area and make a big ass U turn around PCH to get to MOD....:p

Let me know if you guys need help getting out here AZ'ers, I'd be willing to help out if you guys need

Well if you take the 10 then dosnt that one end up like in Palm Desert, Ca? I can get all the way over there and meet you guys some where up there? But how far is the drive from where you live?

Last year we took the 10, to the 60, to the 91, to getting lost, to our hotel. That trip took us awhile as we stoped a time or two and Dave, Chris, and Nate all got me lost. LOL

It should take about 6 hours maybe a bit more for pitstops.

Weren't like half of the freeways closed by the time we were in CA?
Kevin and I didn't get lost.. :tease:

But.. he did drive my car straight off a curb. What fun.

I didn't get lost, I was just taking a scenic drive ;)

every other time i have gone to that area it takes about 4 hours...but people like to sit and talk in blythe for a freakin hour...well it takes that long because when theres a dozen people ordering food etc...and some people like different places. then filling up.

I dont live far from the 10. It might just be faster to take the 10 to the 215 to the 91 instead of going through MoVal. Then we can have any locals around here meet up at the In & Out off of Anderson right before you hit the 215/91. I know quite a few DSM Locals who are going and we could get another 5 or 6 cars in the carvan if we meet off the 10. Cheapest gas around is near there and food as well.

My car is nearly ready. Wideband is on the way, be here Friday and then I start tuning my car. I am going to be getting the rest of the inside back together after the AT to MT swap and may have some more goodies.

Yes...

Thats where I met Nate for last years MOD. Watched that chick back into that other car full force. Daaaayuuumn.

I think I drove off that same curb too, that one at the gas station in CA? Mike and his impression of an H2 was leading the way, right off a curb. 2G abuse....:sneaky:
