kelowna,
I have a 1993 eagle talon tsi awd turbo, and am wondering if I should upgrade to the 16g evo 3 turbo as the one on there is original. Also braking performance is less than great, and i'm wondering weather I should just get new brakes, or upgrade to a big brake kit.
And also wondering what else would need to be changed if I did the turbo upgrade.
Ontop of that I have an issue, when speeding up or slowing down.. the passenger side wobbles or shakes. If your in the seat you can feel it on your feet. What might cause this?

First off with the turbo, well it really comes down to what are your goals? A evo 3 16g is a great first upgrade. You will need all the supporting mods like fuel, exhaust, boost gauge ect. Once again with the brake system what are your goals?. Personaly I would do better rotors and pads and steel braided brake lines and better brake fluid with a good brake bleed. That alone will be plenty for street use, just watch the pad selection as some pads perform better on the track than on the street.LOL. Finaly with the wobbles under the passenger seat, it could be a bent rim or a unevenly worn out tire. I would get under that side of the vehicle and make sure all suspension, bolts axle ect are all good.

I agree with outcast. Since you have a 93 it has the stock big brake setup and is actually good for street use, but i would deff upgrade with some slotted rotors "not cross drilled" they tend to crack in between the holes. I run hawk brake pads and they have been great. I can't stress enough about SS brake lines when i changed my lines out to SS it was a serious diff. don't forget if you are upgrading brakes pads and lines, it might be a good idea to look at some good all-season tires that way you can keep traction since your going to test your bounderies.

the 2 piston is def a good brake system, the only other one I can think of for "Big Brake kit" for 1g's is the evo swap, not cheap but big red brembos look sick and stop on a dime. you'll need 17'' rims for those though.. there's threads on this forum about evo brakes on a 1g and all the necessary supporting mods..
