On my palm IIIxe while using mmcd, I would get timing advance values in the 30s and 40s degrees. Is that right? Does it really advance that much or is it getting some wrong readings? Also what voltage is good to have with the 02 sensor reading? I know it isn't really an accurate reading.

Are you logging this at WOT?

It is normal to see 30-40 deg timing at part throttle while just cruising around for better fuel economy. You want about 18-23 timing and 0 knock at WOT.

O2's arent really important, you cant tune by them so just dont bother.

Ok no it's not at full throttle. The advance is around 30-40 degrees right after I let go of gas to shift to next gear. So it occurs on the rpm graph right as the peak starts to drop. So that is normal for the datalogger to read that? At the highest peak of the first gear, it's around 19-20 degrees. At the peak of the second gear, it's around 12-13 degrees. And at the peak of the third gear, it's around 6 degrees. I was getting like 36 counts of knock on that 6 degree in third. Seems my advance got lower at the peak of every gear. Is that normal?

About the 02 I know it's useless to tune with. It's just that lots of people always throw in their 02 reading like .7v or .9v. So I'm just wondering what's suppose to be good if it was accurate.

.87 and up is optimum, someone correct me if im wrong. But the fact of the matter is like me, you have a first gen. Just tune around knock plain and simple, it'll be less of a headache if you dont even bother w/ ur o2s unless u have a wideband. But yea, i have like 40 deg on decel and 30+ just cruisin. Wait till you get bigger injectors and you pass on the chip. Fun fun, i have upwards of 27 deg ta at 6200, lemmie tell ya about a headache and knock! WTF

Yes.

It's normal with that much knock. But that much knock isn't normal.

you are wrong.. you cant say ".87 is good for 1g's" because all cars are different, and some 02 sensors read differently. tune for knock, end of story.
